On Monday morning, a man in his late forties allegedly beheaded his landlord in Yaw Anane, a farming community located in the Bia West District of the Western North Region. The assemblyman for Nafana electoral area, Augustine Bediako, confirmed the tragic incident to Emmanuel Sowah of Onua News.

The victim, Kwasi Antoh, was a 60-year-old farmer who owned the farm, while the suspect, Yaw Wotoro, worked as the farm keeper. According to Bediako, Kwasi Antoh visited the farm and expressed dissatisfaction with its condition, including the uncleared weeds and the lack of pruning and other cultural practices.

This led to a heated argument between the landlord and the farm keeper.

Additionally, the suspect had concerns that his landlord was pursuing his 19-year-old daughter in the village. In a fit of frustration, Yaw Wotoro grabbed a cutlass, slashed the back of his landlord’s neck, and fled the scene. However, the community residents conducted a thorough search and investigation, leading to the identification and subsequent apprehension of the suspect.

Bediako also advised the residents to report any life-threatening incidents to them or the police promptly. Currently, the suspect is in police custody at Akatiso in the Bia West District.
