(C/R) Bus ploughs through a crowd of jubilant residents; 7 students sustain injuries

In the Gomoa West District of the Central Region, a distressing incident occurred involving seven final-year students who were in the midst of writing the West Africa Senior High School Examination (WASSCE) at Gomoa Musano Senior High School.

During the celebration of the annual Akwambo festival in Gomoa Musana, a tragic incident occurred when a minibus failed to brake and ploughed through the jubilant crowd.

As a result, over 15 people were injured, with seven of them being in critical condition. The injured individuals were immediately taken to the Agona Swedru Government Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the driver of the minibus has been arrested to aid in the ongoing investigation. The Agona Bobikuma Police have been notified and are actively looking into the case.
