Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has requested that the club sign Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni during the summer transfer window.
Despite already spending £162 million (€187m) on Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund, the Red Devils are now targeting a new defensive midfielder. While Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat has been linked to the club, Ten Hag reportedly has his sights set on Tchouameni.
United is considering making an offer similar to the one Madrid made last summer in the signing of the talented midfielder from Monaco for €80m plus €20m in add-ons. Although Madrid would prefer to retain Tchouameni, market circumstances surrounding Kylian Mbappe could lead to his departure. Bayern Munich has also shown long-term interest in the former Monaco player.
