Malaria fever is an infectious disease caused by a parasite called Plasmodium. It is transmitted through the bite of a specific type of female mosquito that carries the parasite.
On the other hand, typhoid fever is an acute illness characterized by a fever, caused by the bacteria Salmonella typhi. It can also be caused by Salmonella paratyphi, a related bacterium that typically leads to a milder illness. These bacteria are deposited in water or food by an infected person and can spread to others in the vicinity.
Both malaria and typhoid have similar symptoms and can be deadly. They have accounted for more deaths in Africa compared to the rest of the world.
The symptoms of malaria include fever, headache, muscle aches, stomach pain, diarrhoea and vomiting (especially in children), lack of energy, loss of appetite, and cough.
On the other hand, the symptoms of typhoid include poor appetite, abdominal pain, headaches, generalized aches and pains, fever, high temperature (often up to 104 F or 39-40 C), lethargy (if left untreated), intestinal bleeding or perforation (after 2 to 3 weeks of the disease), and diarrhoea or constipation.
To get rid of both malaria and typhoid, you can try the following remedy using readily available ingredients:
1. Lemon orange
2. Lemon grass
3. Pawpaw leaves
4. Immature/unripe pawpaw
5. Bitter leaves
6. Mango leaves
7. Scent leaves
Collect enough quantity of these ingredients to last for 7 days. Wash them thoroughly and boil them in a pot of clean water. Allow the mixture to boil properly. Drink a glass cup of this concoction in the morning, afternoon, and night for 7 days. For children, give them half a cup.
Caution: Do not combine this remedy with English medication due to the inclusion of scent leaves.
