It’s interesting to hear that the youth are embarking on a “no tarred road, no election” campaign. This indicates that they are advocating for better infrastructure and road conditions before participating in any elections. The youth wants to voice their concerns and demands for improved living conditions through the “No Tarred Road No Election Campaign. This campaign is one of the many campaigns that have taken place in Wassa Amenfi as a result of poor roads. The people of Samreboi have embarked on several campaigns requesting good roads but to no avail. In May 2023 for instance, residents and some market men and women got stuck in the middle of the road when they were transporting their goods to market.

Infrastructure plays a vital role in the development of a nation, and good roads are essential for transportation, economic growth, and connectivity. By embarking on this campaign, the youth are drawing attention to the importance of having the proper infrastructure in place before engaging in political processes.

Mr Cudjoe, one of the organisers, speaking to PAZION MEDIA said “The presence of well-maintained and accessible roads can positively impact the lives and improve economic activities within the area. He added that despite the massive contributions of Wassa Ameni to the development of the nation, it has not been treated fairly in terms of sharing the national cake. The area is rich in resources but underdeveloped. The resources gotten from Wassa Amenfi should reflect their living conditions.

The campaign is a clarion call for affirmative action.
The spearhearders of the campaign are calling for support, direction, guidance and most especially financial support from people who have the development of Amenfi at heart.
