Thrive Youth Conference: Rev. Lord Atta Quaisie Advises Youth to Live Purposefully to Avoid Later Regrets

The General Secretary of Glory of Heaven Ministry International Rev. Lord Atta Quaisie has admonished young people to maximize their youthful days for greater impact in life so as to avoid regret in their later years.

Speaking at the thanksgiving service held on Sunday, 22nd June, 2025 at Sowutuom in Accra to climax this year’s Thrive Youth Conference organized by the Youth Ministry of Glory of Heaven Ministry International, he pointed out that “youth is a transitional period and a stage in life”.

Quoting from Ecclesiastes 12:1, he admonished that every youth will pass from the stage when they are regarded as youth to when they will be old, emphasizing that “you will not always be a youth”.

Youth is a time for making important life choices including education and training, career choice and marriage, but, one choice is more important than all the above and that is your decision to serve God, he stressed.

Using the Erik Erikson’s psychosocial stages of human development, he elaborated on the various growth stages that an individual goes through in life terminating at old age when an individual looks back on his life; an assessment that leads to two outcomes either fulfillment or regret.

He thus admonished young people to live in such a way that they would not regret the decisions they made in their youthful days in their old age.
