Hon. Dr. Samuel Alberto Tekyi, a prominent figure in the Western Region of Ghana, continued his long-standing commitment to the unique Nzulezo village with a recent visit on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024. He was accompanied by his nephew, Charles Obiri Yeboah, a staff member of Queen Mary University’s Archival Department in the UK who is on holiday to explore the uniqueness of Wasa and Western Region.
On his visit, Dr. Tekyi delivered a significant donation to the community, reflecting his dedication to education and well-being.
The donation, which marked Dr. Tekyi’s fourth visit to Nzulezo included essential educational supplies for the local primary school, such as 200 exercise books and 144 sharpened pencils. He also provided second-hand clothing, a substantial financial contribution, and a football, recognizing the importance of recreation for the children.
Mr. John Emmanuel Arthur, the community leader of Nzulezo, received the items on behalf of the village. Mr. Arthur, known for his active role in engaging visitors and documenting support, briefed Dr. Tekyi and his nephew on the community’s needs and expressed gratitude for their continued generosity.
Dr. Tekyi, known for his past role as District Chief Executive of Wassa Amenfi West Municipality and his current position as proprietor of IBS Educational Complex, has consistently demonstrated a commitment to community development. His recurring visits to Nzulezo highlight his personal dedication to the village and its people.
