Inability to delay gratification: Being persistent often requires sacrificing short-term pleasure for long-term gain, without this mindset an individual may lack the discipline to put in the hard work required to achieve success.

Lower motivation: Persistence is the willpower that drives individuals to keep going and reach their objectives, it is essential for motivation and drive in an individual, without it people often lack the necessary drive to succeed.
