Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency who also doubles as the Deputy Majority Leader has taken a proactive step towards improving education in the district by commissioning the construction of a five-unit classroom block.
Additionally, the MP distributed a laptop to all newly posted teachers in the Effutu district.
Many schools in Ghana face structural challenges, including overcrowded classrooms and inadequate facilities. These challenges hinder effective teaching and learning. The MP’s initiative to commission five-unit classroom blocks aims to address these issues and provide students with improved learning spaces.
The new classroom blocks were designed with modern educational standards. The school features appropriate lighting, ventilation systems, and ergonomic furniture, providing students with a conducive environment for learning.
Speaking at the event, the MP said “Newly posted teachers often face challenges in adapting to their new teaching environment and may lack access to essential resources. These challenges can hinder their ability to deliver effective instruction and engage students fully. By providing laptops to these teachers, it will empower them with the tools they need to excel in their roles.
He further added that the laptops will enable the newly posted teachers to integrate technology into their teaching methods. They can access educational websites, online resources, and interactive software to enhance their lessons, making them more engaging and effective.
The MP ended his speech by saying that the commissioning of the five new classroom blocks and the provision of laptops to teachers demonstrate his Member of Parliament’s commitment to improving education in Effutu district. These initiatives will address infrastructure challenges, create a conducive learning environment, and support the professional growth of teachers.
He urged the community to show support and appreciation for this initiative, as it will empower teachers and positively impact the quality of education in Effutu district. Together, we can create a more inclusive and technologically advanced learning environment for our students, he said.
