On Monday, October 7th, 2024, Vice President of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, welcomed former President of Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, to the Jubilee House. Dr. Jonathan, leading a delegation from the West African Elders Forum (WAEF), an initiative of the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation dedicated to promoting democracy, peace, and security in the sub-region, was on a pre-election mission to Ghana.
The discussion between Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Jonathan’s delegation, which included H.E. Kadre Desire Quadraago, former President of the ECOWAS Commission, centered on ensuring a peaceful election process in Ghana.
