Koffie Wisdom, professionally known as MC VhimGuy, celebrating his birthday on December 15th, 2024 reflected on his life journey and offered a captivating narrative of personal growth, professional achievement, and a unique blend of academic pursuits and entertainment success.
MC VhimGuy’s early life and education took place in Bechem, Ahafo Region, where he attended Saint Vincent International School for his basic education and Bechem Presbyterian Senior High School for his secondary education. His academic interests led him to pursue a certificate in General Agriculture from Kwadaso Agricultural College, a foundation he further built upon by obtaining a first degree in General Agriculture, specializing in Soil and Crop Science, from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Currently, he applies this expertise in his role as an agricultural extension officer for a cocoa buying company in Asankrangwa, Western Region.
Despite his dedication to his agricultural profession, MC VhimGuy has cultivated a strong passion for entertainment, especially music. He shares that music played a crucial role in his personal development, providing solace and a creative outlet during periods of solitude. This early connection with music would later form a critical base for his career in event hosting and MCing.
His journey into the entertainment world began in 2020, during a time of personal challenge. Seeking a creative release, he sought mentorship from an established MC in Bechem, MC Brich. This connection led to his first on-stage experience at an event in Techimantia, an opportunity that despite initial nervousness, sparked a profound passion for MCing. MC VhimGuy also recognized the invaluable support of DJ Beezy from Duayaw Nkwanta, who provided him with opportunities to perform at shows in the area, significantly boosting his visibility and exposure.
Following this first experience, he immersed himself in the craft, studying videos of accomplished MCs to refine his skills. He actively sought out opportunities, even taking on unpaid gigs to gain experience and build his brand. By 2021, his dedication began to yield positive results, with small payments for events serving as fuel to continue his learning and development.
Today, MC VhimGuy boasts a considerable brand presence, having worked alongside some of Ghana’s most prominent DJs, including DJ Wasty K, DJ Bacteria, DJ Cola, DJ Bizzy, DJ Floppy, DJ Weezy, and DJ Kenya, and with respected MCs such as Teabag Mensah Jnr, MC Chris, and MC Bobby Zaro. Since relocating to Asankrangwa, he has expanded his reach by collaborating with Pazion Media on street interviews and vlog projects. MC VhimGuy also expressed gratitude to Mc Philemon, who facilitated a pivotal introduction to MC Bobby Zaro, marking the beginning of his widespread recognition in Amenfi West.
His accomplishments include winning the Best MC award in the Ahafo Region in 2022 and serving as an entertainment panelist on High Radio in Bechem the same year. His services now encompass a broad range of entertainment offerings, including event hosting, voice-over work, event planning, business promotions, consultation, and more. His dedication has also earned him a nomination for the Best Event MC/Hypeman of the Year award at the Global Excellence Awards in Duayaw Nkwanta, Ahafo Region.
