Surveillance video shows a suspect breaking into a restaurant and making away with some items and cash at the store.

A young man whose identity is yet to be known was captured on camera entering a restaurant shop at East Legon called Local Vibes Restaurant. The incident happened at dawn on 23 May 2023. The owner found out this morning when he went to the restaurant to continue his routine work.

Speaking to the owner this evening, he said the burglar was able to enter the restaurant by breaking the door of the restaurant which is made up of glasses.

The video clearly shows the rogue manoeuvring his way through the restaurant and after entering, he scanned the place to see if he was not being monitored. He made away with a woofer and some cash. Unfortunately, the burglar was not able to take away the TV due to how it’s been locked inside. Perhaps, the burglar was in a haste to flee the scene.

The owner said he was at the East Legon police station this morning to make a report. And the police arrived in the evening around 4:30 pm to check everything that happened at the restaurant.

Anyone with information about this incident should call the Police emergency number. The police at East Legon are seriously on a manhunt for the burglar and have called on the public to volunteer information to their toll-free lines.
