Couple arrested for allegedly robbing passengers on Cape Coast Highway

A couple has been arrested by the Mankessim Police Command for allegedly robbing passengers on the Cape Coast highway. These individuals believed to be in their late 50s, are accused of targeting passengers at Harom Junction on the Mankessim stretch of the highway.

Their strategy involves hiring a taxi under the pretence of travelling to Cape Coast. However, at bus stops, one of them swiftly grabs the bags of unsuspecting passengers before the waiting taxi speeds away.

Their attempt to snatch a bag in Saltpond was unsuccessful, as they were pursued and apprehended by another vehicle. The suspects are currently in the custody of the Mankessim Police Command, and further investigation is underway.
