Amenfi West: Tree trunk splits to kill a 22-year-old woman at Bogyakrom

 

It’s just an unfortunate tragedy that a mother of three met her untimely death as she left out to fell a tree to supplement her charcoal business at Bogyakrom in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality of the Western Region. In the process of cutting the tree, the trunk of the tree split and hit her.

The woman had travelled to the area to engage in farming as means of sustenance. Today as part of her usual activities, she left the house to fell a tree to supplement her charcoal business only for this unfortunate incident to happen to her.

Some people from Sika Nti and residents of Bogyakrom arrived at the scene a short time later and pulled the woman from her precarious position.

The woman is a parent of three and was living in Bogyakrom with her husband and three children.
