Franca Connie Adjei Baafi, an eight-year-old student of WAG Angels Academy in Kumasi, is a shining example of how a child’s dream can blossom with the right support. Participating in the “Bookworm Ashanti” competition, organized by Bookworm Avenue Consult to foster reading habits in students, Franca has demonstrated a dedication that promises great things.
Inspired by a fellow student’s victory in the previous edition, Franca, along with three other classmates, stepped up to represent WAG Angels Academy in this year’s competition. Her parents, Mr. Daniel Baafi Junior and Mrs. Deborah Owusu Baafi, have been instrumental in her journey, nurturing her passion for reading and providing unwavering support.
The Bookworm Kids Reading Show, which began on July 13th, 2024, with auditions, is set to culminate in a grand finale on November 9th, 2024. Throughout this journey, Franca has impressed judges with her composure, fluency, pronunciation, and reading speed. This Basic Three student is determined to make her parents proud and emerge victorious in this prestigious competition.
