The incumbent Member of Parliament for Wasa Amenfi West Constituency, Hon Eric Afful, has been re-elected to lead the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2024 election.
The incumbent MP polled 791 votes in the just-ended NDC primaries.
This means Hon Eric Aful will lead the party in the 2024 general elections for the third time after the demise of Honourable John Gyetuah.
His contender Mr. George Dadzie Junior polled 537
In the presidential primaries, former president John Dramani Mahama polled 688 votes, Kojo Bonsu had 15 votes while Kwabena Duffuor who pulled out of the race on Friday evening had 0 votes. Rejected votes were 22.
